When Women Pray ( Book Club)

Would you believe me if I told you I once struggled with my self esteem, with finding my identity?

Struggled to feel worthy or enough?

So insecure that my insecurities almost cost me relationships.

Struggled with finding myself let alone my purpose here.

I would receive ten compliments at one time on how beautiful I am or how well I carried myself or polished I was, but out of all the compliments the one negative thing that I thought about myself outweighed all the amazing things about me that I wrestled to embrace.

When we don’t think highly of ourselves or love ourselves correctly we can’t fully embrace someone else loving us correctly. We will always find something wrong because we are so used to our OWN toxic thoughts of who we are and what we deserve.

There are too many smiling and dressed up people walking around with fragments on the inside. Chile, I was one of them.

How did I overcome this? Through prayer! Cliche, but truth. How can you love someone that you don’t know?? If you don’t fully know who you are, what your divine purpose is, or who God says you are... how can you really love yourself? We love the image of looking like we know but have no real substance.

When I started The Millennial Mommy I didn’t want to be just another Mom blogger who post photo shoot pics (no pun intended, I enjoy them), post diy’s, recipes , products and etc but I wanted to really offer some substance and practical life skills so that we can fully tap into purpose in us. When we know our purpose other things fall into place. ** Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you**

I wish I had someone to tell me these things I know now earlier in life, but I guess I needed the trial and errors to be able to help someone else. This book club is not just for Moms and wives, but it’s for every woman who is searching for the better YOU. So that when the time comes you are equipped.

Join me in a 30 day journey Through exploring the lives of 10 prayer-filled women of the Bible, Bishop Jakes emphasizes the life-changing power that women have when they find their identity, their strength, their healing, and their voices in Christ.

If you have the book that’s perfect, but I will give a week or so for those who haven’t purchased to do so before we start. Our tentative start date is December 15th. After each chapter we will come together and discuss each chapter together. Zoom links will be provided.
